About Pilgrims Lodge 5008
Our Pilgrims lodge is based at St.Mary’s Road Wrotham Kent.
We meet at our purpose built masonic centre with a large temple, full kitchen and chartering facilities together with a dining hall and in-house bar. The centre is also home to a number of other lodges which makes for a vibrant hub of masonic activity in the province of west Kent.
What is Freemasonry?
Freemasons are proud of their background and are willing to adjust and act with integrity to achieve their aim in life.
Many people think they know what Freemasonry is and what is does, but sometimes you really do need to find out for yourself. Talking to a Freemason will give you a better understanding of what Freemasonry is and they really will want to talk to you about it.
You do not need to be invited.
Integrity
Freemasons are proud of their background and are willing to adjust and act with intrgrity to achieve their aim in life.
Rather than working on buildings like the masons of old, today’s Freemasons focus on building themselves as people of integrity, and membership provides the structure to help achieve that goal.
Friendship
Being a freemason gives you the opportunity of meeting other masons and forming friendships, many of which will last a lifetime.
One of the oldest social organisations in the world, Freemasonry is not defined by an ideology. It is open to people from all religions and political persuasions and provides the common foundation for friendships between members, many of which will last for life.
Respect
Freemasonry membership gives us the opportunity to bring together people of all backgrounds, race, religion or any other culture difference that might otherwise affect the peace and good order of society.
With a membership of more than 150,000 people drawn from communities across the UK, Freemasonry brings people together irrespective of their race, religion or any other perceived differences that can divide us as a society.
Charity
Charitable giving and kindness to all, regardless of their colour, creed or religion is deeply embedded within the principals of freemasonry.
Members can also make positive donations to their charities and other good causes. As freemasons this desire to help others encourages us to become better members of society. Nam et euismod justo, ultrices lacinia eros. Morbi vitae dignissim ante. Nam vitae lectus purus.
